The Performance Trainer Pro project was a collaboration between WWSSI Engineers, Woodway Engineers and Woodway marketing to build the ultimate health and fitness software package to control Woodway's Performance model treadmills that would be very robust, and also both easy and intuitive for the users to use. The result was Performance Trainer Pro, a complete hardware and software solution.

Since Performance Trainer Pro release, Performance Trainer Pro has proven to be a vital tool in the progress and success of physical fitness training . Performance Trainer Pro is a software solution that satisfies a wide range of users needs ranging from home users to the critical needs of fitness professionals. Some of the current enthusiastic users include many Professional and College sports teams, U.S. Navy, health clubs, and home users. Performance Trainer Pro has been modified for NASA to use on the space station.
